  • Fall: The deadline for international undergraduate students is July 15. The application fee deadline for international graduate students is April 15.
  • Spring: The spring deadline for international graduate students is November 15. The deadline for the UNT undergraduate application is November 15 for international students.

How to Pay the UNT Application Fee

  •  ApplyTexas Users: After submitting your application, a payment checklist will be added to your myUNT student portal within 2–3 days of receiving your activation email.
  • Common Application Users: After filling out your application, log in to your Common App account. Go to the “My Colleges” tab. Next, click on “Review and Submit,” uncheck the fee waiver option, and pay the UNT application fee through your credit card.
  • Money Order or Checks: If you’re paying the UNT application fee through a money order or check, mail your payment to the university. Write your full name on the money order or check to ensure it’s credited to your account.

How to Apply at the University of North Texas

  • Undergraduate international students can complete the online application through GoApplyTexas or use The Common Application. International Applicants with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent can apply through the university website. Finish this process before the priority date.
  • Next, pay the UNT application fee, as discussed in the previous section, before the deadline.
  • Submit all your high school official transcripts, mark sheets, diplomas, and certificates. UNT recommends uploading your transcripts and scores wherever possible. However, you can also send by mail. Avoid sending any document that can’t be duplicated or replaced.
  • Next, submit official test scores such as SAT, ACT, IB, GRE, or GMAT.
  • You’ll need to submit English proficiency scores, e.g., TOEFL or IELTS, if you’re a non-native English speaker.
  •  Submit proof that you’ve got enough money to pay for your university fees and other expenses.
  •  Check your chosen department requirements and deadlines because acceptance to UNT can’t guarantee that you’ll get your chosen major. Verify your chosen department for additional requirements, such as departmental applications, test scores, references, auditions, and other relevant items. Ensure you meet them and submit all documents needed within their deadlines.

Application Fee Waivers

Unfortunately, according to the University of North Texas policy, international students applying to the university can’t usually receive an application fee waiver.
